Stagger use of large appliances.

Most Time of Use (TOU) electricity costs are based on both how much energy use you in any given 15-minute period (e.g., your demand) and when you use energy. Large appliances like stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washers, and dryers all demand a lot of energy, so staggering their use helps to reduce demand-related chargers.
What You Need to Do
-
Use only one large appliance at a time. For example, run your dishwasher after dinner is done cooking, then wash your clothes once the dishwasher cycle is done, and put wet clothes in the dryer before bed.
